*This chronicle is an attempt to recommend the new releases of each week by passing over the vast amont of movies the majors offer to the public and to try to get a perspective of the films that are worth every penny you take from your pocket and put into the box-office.

Piranha 3D from Alexandre Aja who offered us the nice little films High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes. Why am I talking about such a film that seems cliché, well because everything in that film looks like a cult film to be. With the presence of Richard Dreyfuss (another Jaws reference), Christopher Lloyd as the scientist (Back to the Future reference), and Eli Roth (horror sensation as a the director of Cabin Fever & The Hostel and actor in Inglourious Basterds).
With Piranha 3D expect beach fun, lots of blood, fish with sharp teeths and babes with big... Well, lots of wet t-shirts. Not the feelgood movie of the summer but lots of horror fun!
So what are you gonna watch this weekend?
Not really looking forward to any release this week although Piranha 3D seems like good fun (in a it's so bad it's good way). I think the quality of release is going to go down quite a bit from here until November
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Castor. Althought, I hope we will have some surprises coming like Centurion next week... If not, well the road to the Oscars from November to February will give us the best films to come... Have you heard if The Tree of Life has a release date?
