I really loved Tree of Life but I respect that many people found many failings in some aspects of it...
The Help is the kind of indie (I haven't seen) that looks like made to be Oscar nominated but that'll never win. Moneyball looks good but making only a presence... I think it is a close race between The Artist and Hugo... But I'll get back with more analysis when I'll see the films I still haven't seen!MPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08366182655374603950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379353038189641208.post-40606374119248533212012-01-26T23:15:51.314-05:002012-01-26T23:15:51.314-05:00I still need to see The Descendants, Hugo, War Hor...I still need to see The Descendants, Hugo, War Horse, and Extremely Loud. I've wanted to see the first two anyway. The latter two, not so much, but I will try to see them now so I can review them. Of the ones I have seen so far, I only consider The Artist and Midnight in Paris to be Oscar worthy movies. Moneyball and The Help are good, but not great. Like a trophy wife, The Tree of Life is absolutely beautiful to look at, but when you need some depth it comes up a little lacking. (Sorry, I know you liked it.)Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379353038189641208.post-75737496688297633022012-01-24T13:12:21.343-05:002012-01-24T13:12:21.343-05:00War Horse might be the film I'll miss if I hav...War Horse might be the film I'll miss if I have to miss one of the nominees... I'll looking forward to see Hugo and Moneyball too!
I got assigned The Artist by The LAMB Devours the Oscars so I will catch it soon!MPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08366182655374603950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2379353038189641208.post-42888820075645736672012-01-24T12:19:26.390-05:002012-01-24T12:19:26.390-05:00There are several of the nominations that I don...There are several of the nominations that I don't think I want to see this year. War Horse is on the fence, and I really don't care about Incredibly Loud and Extremely Close. I've seen Moneyball, and liked it, but it shouldn't be a best picture nominee.

I'm very happy to see Hugo getting a nomination, and I'm pulling for it to win.Johnhttp://tdylf.comnoreply@blogger.com
