Read: John from The Droid You're Looking For writes about the importance of François Truffaut.
I haven't seen enough of his films to be able to make a list, but I have seen Fahrenheit 451. It was limited by the special effects of the time and it added some things that were not in the book. I'm not a purist when it comes to making a movie from a book. If the additions make sense then I am all for them. In this case, what got added did not.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about this title and this is probably the next Truffaut I'm gonna watch... I'll get back to you as soon as I review it!
ReplyDeleteJules et Jim is my favorite one too. Jeanne Moreau is just perfect in it.
ReplyDeleteI am such a Truffaut geek that I cannot pick favourites... he didn't make that many films - I wish he had made more!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad because he died too young. I understand that is difficult to pick your favorite films when speaking of a director your love and/or admire!
