I agree with you Chip, La passion de Jeanne d'Arc is one of the greatest Silent film. Dreyer's Cinema displays a lot of narrative and visual elements from his Silent era films.

ReplyDeleteDay of Wrath is very interesting! The Criterion Boxset of his films has a documentary on his filmmaking and it is one of the great pieces to own!
