National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (Jeremiah Chechik, 1989)

Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) is an upper middle class father of two teenagers Audrey (Juliette Lewis) and Russ (John Galecki) and he wants to throw a classic Holiday just like when he was 10 years old  back in 1959 with his entire extended family including his uncle Lewis (William Hickey) his aunt Bethany (Mae Questel) and his wife’s (Beverly D’Angelo) cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid). Add in Sam McMurray, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, John Randolph, Diane Ladd, E. G. Marshall, Nicholas Guest, Brian Doyle-Murray, and the beautiful Nicolette Scorsese and you have my family’s Holiday favorite.

The Best Pumpkin Designs Inspired by Movies

Every year since my girlfriend (now my wife) and I are together we used to carve a pumpkin together and light it on Hallows’ Eve and put it on the porch in front of her parent’s house. With the time we got more ambitious and we made crazy, funny designs. We even did a Jack Skellington face on it once.

But, for the last four years we lived in an apartment and did not made one. This weekend we’ll take that tradition back since we moved into our first house this past summer.

To get dome inspiration I searched on Google and I thought about movie inspired designs here are the most interesting I found.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Day

Just like Linus, you can learn the real meaning of Thanksgiving. In fact this is the canadian one. I know all you Americans have a real holiday with Turkey, Football, and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles later this year in November.

But here, in Québec we have a holiday, so no work. But there's not much going on as far as traditions or celebrations.

Instead of doing a special I want to point a Canadian thinkg going on right now:

Bonjour Tristesse is currently doing an AMAZING job covering the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Go read his summaries on the film projections he attended. Lots of upcoming great movies.
